Now that the Special Election is behind us, here's a roadmap for the next steps:
The official election results will be certified on September 2nd, with the BOT officers being sworn in at the September 6th Board of Trustees meeting. There will still be a Special Board of Trustees meeting for August 30th to discuss ballot language and supplemental parking and transportation, led by Mayor Pro Tem Mahowald.

The Town of Nederland applies and received funding from the 2022 Boulder County Economic Vitality Grant.

On August 18, 2022 Marshal Fine-Loven submitted her letter of resignation with her last day being September 30, 2022.
The Town is fully committed to rebuilding the Nederland Police Department and is looking to bring in an interim Marshal as soon as possible. In addition, the Town is currently working with Boulder County Sheriff's Office to continue to provide extra duty coverage and will be working with a consultant to complete an extensive recruitment campaign.

The Ned Jazz & Wine Fest has been approved for a noise variance for Friday, August 19th, from 2pm - 6pm and Saturday, August 20th, from 11am - 6pm at Chipeta Park. If you have any questions about this variance, please contact Town Hall.
