Community Room

The Community Room at the Nederland Community Center is a spacious, open room that can accommodate large gatherings. It is adjacent to the commercial kitchen and is ideal for parties, retreats, workshops, and meetings. It can open to the Gymnasium, and both rooms can be rented together to accommodate larger groups or active events such as weddings, corporate retreats, or health care forums.

Commercial Kitchen

The 18x22 ft Commercial Kitchen is licensed by the Boulder County Public Health Department. it is equipped with an Energy Star dish sanitizer, prep tables, a 2-oven / 6-burner stove with griddle, a microwave oven, a double reach-in commercial refrigerator with single freezer, regulation sinks, and a service bay and return bay serving the Community Room. The kitchen has a storage room and a closet holding service for 75. Use of tablecloths, wine glasses, etc. are available at additional cost. Limited commissary options are also available.

Conference Room

The Conference Room on the first floor of the Community Center is a purpose-furnished room that can accommodate up to twelve people for smaller meetings and gatherings. All areas of the Center are Wi-Fi accessible.

Backdoor Theatre

The Backdoor Theatre, located in the Nederland Community Center, is a 265-seat theater showing first run movies every Friday and Saturday at 7pm. When not being used for movies, there is a 20x40 stage that is perfect for concerts, plays, music and dance performances, films, and lectures. The beautiful Studio offers a peaceful, attractive space with lots of natural light, a hardwood dance floor, mirrors, fit balls, bosu balls, steps, bands, bars, and mats. It is idea for dance, yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, and children's classes of all kinds.


The Center's full-size Gymnasium features a pulsaic rubber floor, and has basketball, volleyball, and pickleball court lines. It is available for drop-in use as part of The Fitness Place when no other classes or activities are scheduled. The Gymnasium is also available to rent for activities and can be transformed for parties, receptions, and events. Holiday Mountain Market, Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Mountain Forum for Peace Sale, and 9Health Fair are some of the events hosted annually in this space.
