Departments & Districts
Looking for a specific department? Find out more about the Nederland Police, Fire Department, and various Public Works departments here! You'll find contact information and answers to a variety of questions within their respective pages.
Boards and Commissions
The Nederland Board of Trustees has various volunteer-staffed boards and commissions to advise them on topics of interest and to help them carry out their goals. Here, you can learn more about each board, it's goals, and what seats might be available.
Ordinances & Municipal Code
Ordinances are municipal laws enacted by the Town Board of Trustees. If they are approved by a majority of members, they will go into law 30 days after publishing. Ordinances are incorporated into the Nederland Municipal Code - the local law that governs the town - with each publication of the Code. Use this link to learn more, and to read through the town municipal code.
Resolutions
Resolutions are enacted by the Town Board of Trustees and carry weight, but not the weight of law. They are not legally binding, but more like acknowledgments of Board priorities and projects. Use this link to find out more, and to find a list of all resolutions by year.
Finance
The budget for the Town of Nederland is adopted each year in December by the Board of Trustees. Before adoption, the Board holds public hearings about the budget as an opportunity to receive public input and comment. Use this link to learn more, and find present and past budgets.
