Nederland, CO – The Town of Nederland CarShare program is set to end at the end of January 2025. After a year-long pilot period, the Town has decided not to renew this program and explore alternate transportation options for the Nederland community.
This program began as a collaboration between Colorado CarShare and the Town of Nederland to gauge the viability of a shared electric vehicle (EV) for the community, to provide area residents with a convenient, low emission transportation option. While the program was met with enthusiasm, it ultimately saw low usage.
While we are exploring other options to fill this gap, we encourage all community members to take advantage of the alternative transportation options that are currently available:
Nederland EcoPass Program - The EcoPass is an annual transit pass that provides unlimited rides on all RTD bus and rail services. In Nederland, EcoPasses are available to full-time, permanent residents and employees within the Nederland Community Library District and is funded by your property taxes.

Mountain Rides – Mountain Rides is a free, fixed-route service between Ward, Nederland, and Rollinsville, running Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:30am – 3:30pm.

Mobility for All Mountain Driver Program – Boulder County’s Mobility for All is in the planning phase of a Mountain Driver Program, aimed at creating a volunteer driver program to address the transportation needs of Boulder County mountain communities.
