Boulder County, Colo. -- Boulder County residents are invited to join the Board of County Commissioners for a Town Hall meeting on Thursday, April 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Nederland Community Center, 750 CO-72, Nederland. A brief presentation about the opening of the Tolland Ranch trail and trail overcrowding will take place, followed conversation with residents about trails and any other county concerns.
Boulder County has over 120 miles of trails over 20 different open space properties, frequented by residents and neighbors from throughout the metro area. In order to manage the high visitation, Parks & Open Space offers shuttle services to two of the most popular trailheads and recreation areas and live trailhead cameras.
“I believe strongly that we should leave things better than we found them,” said Commissioner Ashley Stolzmann. “As our trails are some of the most well-loved and popular in the Front Range, we need to do all we can to manage them for accessibility, safety, and longevity for current and future generations. It’s important that we work together to find the best balance for use and for our environment and I look forward to discussing this in Nederland.”
Join the Commissioners and staff from Parks & Open Space for a presentation on trails followed by a Q&A session with the Board on this and other topics.
