The Nederland 2022 Special Municipal Election will be held Tuesday, August 23rd! The Town will be voting for a new Mayor and Trustee to fill vacant seats. Nomination Petitions are now available online, or at Town Hall.
Anyone interested in running for either position must return a filled out Nomination Petition to Town Hall by 5pm on Monday, June 13th, 2022. Each Nomination Petition will require a minimum of ten (10) signatures and must be notarized (it can be notarized at Town Hall).

2022 Nederland Special Election Nomination Petition
In order to be eligible to run for office, a person must meet the following requirements:
- They are a citizen of the United States
- They are at least eighteen (18) years of age
- They have been a resident of the Town of Nederland for twelve (12) consecutive months immediately preceding the election
- They are a registered elector in the municipality
