On April 4th, 2023, the Board of Trustees adopted Ordinance No. 837 amending the zoning classification for 100 First St from High Density Residential to Central Business District. On May 5th, 2023, the Town Clerk received a referendum petition with a sufficient number of signatures to reconsider this ordinance, and has issued this statement of sufficiency: https://nederlandco.civicweb.net/document/45738
This will now go back before the Board of Trustees, where they will consider a timeline to either:
- Repeal Ordinance No. 837, or
- Refer Ordinance No. 837 to the voters in a special election
