PRESS RELEASE –
On Monday morning, January 9, 2023, Town Marshal candidate Daniel Gledhill notified the Town Administrator that, for personal reasons, he must decline the Town Marshal position with the Town of Nederland Police Department. Gledhill was set to start with the Town on January 17, 2023. The Town of Nederland is currently evaluating next steps for the Town’s law enforcement plan. As a reminder, Boulder County Sheriff’s Office provides services to the Town by responding to all priority 1 calls and providing nighttime coverage.

It is with great sadness that I must turn down the position as Marshal at the Town of Nederland Police Department. Over the last week I have had some developments in my life that have forced me to consider my personal well-being over being Marshal within the town. I have nothing but respect for the BOT, and the employees in Nederland and the way they have treated me. The treatment I have received from Town Administrator Miranda Fisher has been nothing but professional, and I have enjoyed working with her every minute. I appreciated the opportunity, and it was one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make. I again THANK YOU so much for this opportunity and wish you nothing but the best in the future. Ned is a special place, and it is a place I someday hope to come visit again. Thanks again,
