The Town of Nederland received the following questions regarding the Big Springs Egress Request for Proposal (RFP). Questions were due to the Town by 4pm Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
QUESTION: Does the city want the engineer to hire geotech/survey?
Yes, the Town does want the engineer to hire Geotech/survey services for the study.
QUESTION: Is there a desired amount of alternatives?
No, there is no desired amount of alternatives. By the end of this study, the Town will be seeking confirmation that every viable option for an egress route out of the Big Springs neighborhood has been evaluated.
QUESTION: Does the Town anticipate needing a current fire mitigation study performed?
While there is currently a Colorado Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) update underway, it won’t focus exclusively on the Big Springs neighborhood. Therefore, the Town would like to see a fire mitigation study performed. However, there may be opportunities for the consultant to partner with the agency completing the CWPP fire mitigation.
The Town will not be accepting any additional questions for this project. Deadline for submission of completed RFP is Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 4:00 pm
